Neil Warnock’s sacking at QPR could have some implications for Spurs’ winter transfer plans if the new Loftus Road manager is given a transfer kitty worth up to £20m. Last week, Rangers are reported to have offered £5m for Christopher Samba while Warnock was still at the club and it’s thought that the Congolese centre half remains a priority.

With this is mind, journalists are suggesting today that Spurs will be forced to act now that QPR are closing in on a reported target. With Spurs’ injury problems in defence mounting, a fast move for Samba could make sense but it would seem that both sides would need to look at increasing that offer to bring it more in line with Blackburn’s £8m valuation.

Elsewhere, it’s reported that Junior Hoilett has had a transfer request turned down at Ewood Park. The request was made after the 21 year old was left out of Blackburn’s FA Cup tie with Newcastle and while it’s been rejected for now, maybe it will lead to a firm offer from either Spurs or Liverpool who have both been constantly linked with the player.

  1. Really Samba ain’t that great. Big, yes. Better than what we have, nope. Hoilett’s a good player mind. Don’t really need anyone else upsetting the applecart do we?

  2. He may go to the Hoops with Sparky there now, along with the mad wonga we will pay him.

Clearly from a footy perspective, he would be better suited at your mob but it depends whether he sees the $$$ signs or not from us.

To be fair, I want Alex from the Scum. The pair of em would surely sort us out of this pickle we are in.

  3. I cant believe Levey we are creaking at the back with injury and players coming back not yet fit like Dawson. i would feel confident of beating Everton if we had Samba on board or a fit King. Everton have loads of injuries i live in the North West and the weaker a team the stronger the performance just like West Brom did . What Harry and my fellow fans need too know is our biggest threat is High tempo and work rate ruining our good season. This is when Teams are desperate for points and some use desperate measures to get them and two players in ten years show they keep getting away with it.

    • are you seriously? why would anybody pay 10million for one player that is out of contract in the summer? i know you are stupid but not that stupid

    • Why get upset about an offer?

Harry’s saying he’s worth that much to him — if you don’t agree the no deal.

Harry’s only an idiot if we NEEDED to get the player, in which case you have to make an offer too good to be refused. There are plenty of good players out there, though, so if there offer is rejected no big deal — if it’s taken, though, then great!
