One of the tricks of the transfer rumour mills seems to be to find a big money potential signing and then follow that up with a cheaper alternative should the main target fall through.

Just like Eden Hazard, Omar El Kaddouri is 21 years old. He also plays in midfield and he is a Belgian international – albeit at under 21 level for now. However, that’s where the similarity seems to end but rumours are suggesting that Spurs will make a bid for El Kaddouri if an approach for Hazard is ruled out.

This is a name we’ve seen before and last summer, there were stories about a bid from Arsenal in the region of just £3m pounds. Since then however he seems to have established himself in Italy with Serie B side Brescia so the fee is likely to have increased.

However, any figure will be a fraction of the sums quoted for Eden Hazard so could this be a viable option to consider at the end of the season?
