Spurs are the latest club to be linked with Manchester City’s 19 year old Swedish striker John Guidetti who has been hitting the headlines whilst on loan with Dutch club Feyenoord. The striker had an unremarkable career before heading for Holland and this had previously included a forgettable loan stint with Burnley.

However, all that changed this season and in his first 16 league games in Rotterdam, Guidetti hammered home 18 goals including three hat tricks. Naturally that has brought him to the attention of a lot of clubs and the player himself is not particularly warm about a return to city.

“I have not yet talked with Manchester City about my future. But the issue is very simple: I want to play, and if Manchester City see me as a fourth or fifth choice, I’d rather go to a club where I can play,” he said.

“What league does not matter, what counts for me is to play.

“It would be painful for me to move from a place where I always play such as Feyenoord, to where I might constantly be on the bench.”

Whether the Spurs link is a case of joining up the dots is unclear but Guidetti is certain to feature highly in summer transfer news.

Meanwhile, the performances of his Manchester City colleague Emmanuel Adebayor have come increasingly under the spotlight and it’s noticeable how quiet the rumours are surrounding a permanent deal at White Hart Lane.

The focus seems to have shifted to the likes of Loic Remy and Olivier Giroud and maybe even the luxuriously named John Alberto Fernando Andres Luigi Olof Guidetti could be added into the mix.

Get me a pint of whatever it is you drink! He’s 19 for gods sake he has had NO repeat NO career before! And as far as Spuds getting him, there is more chance of them getting SILV, Auero, and Yay Ya Toure for ten quid . Why do I read such drivel as this ?

  2. I see that spurs fans are finally coming to realise just what a t****r Adebayour is. As soon as things start going pear shaped the mercenary shows his true colours and bottles it!

  4. Mind the gap arseholes 🙂 there is still a gap which will begin 2 get bigger before the season is over and when that happens I bet u won’t b commenting on here again

    • I can’t agree with you more Joe, in a span of 3 weeks we’ve gotten Arsenal, Man U and Everton. The rest of the season is a breeze. The biggest challenge now is a toothless Cheleski. Come on boys third is ours.

      • Lol @ Blake, and there was I thinking your tie against Arsenal was going to be a breeze (as you put it) 🙂

You will finish 5th like the scum you are.

        • I would think that as pompous Gooner I would think that you of all Scum would now that no North London Derby is a breeze no matter the respected positions of the clubs involved that’s why I love being a Spurs fan. Which clearly you and your fellow man don’t share the same about your grime-sucker club or you guys wouldn’t be trolling a Spurs’ blog. And I hope you remember this conversation when Spurs when the league before your beloved.

    • I hope you are right 3rd and hopefully a trophy then happy days! will be so annoyed if we throw all are hard work down the pan!!!

  5. No chance we are much to small a club, I think we need to look are keeping the players we have, give Bale 200k a week or he will end up abroad

    • I’dratherBale leave thangive him £200k a week (which won’t happen anyway).

Gunner, I can understand your dislike for Ade but he’s been great for us this season. Certainly not worth anywhere near the wages City psy him though.

      Ajax defender (Vert?)
      Hoilett
      Ade
      Damaio/Remy

Should be our targetsthis summer. Highly ratedas Hazard iswe have other areasthat require filling. Doibt we have enough money to sort those and buy Hazard.

  6. All this talk of us being a small club…Harry not being the right man to lead us onto the next level is bull…it would be a disappointment if we finish 4th but let’s not forget that we are still in front and it only takes 1 game to bounce back…Next season we just need to dig deep sign a young gk,Vertongen,Hazard and Damiao let Bently and the rest of dead weight go and use our youth. With those additions coupled with keeping our top players we could well win the league! COYS!

  7. guidetti is a decent kid but probably wont make the grade at city, it sounds as though he is doing very well in holland but he would find it much more difficult to score so many goals in england.
can’t see city lettin him go to a direct threat to city like spurs, if he leaves it’ll probably be abroad,i’m very pleased adebayor has been a partial success at spurs but could you please take him off our hands now?…we want to dump him and tevez and bring in van persie, now that’d please you spurs fans wouldn’t it?…ha ha

  8. It`s not long ago That a Team called SWANSEA won a recent match, good on you “Brendon”spent a fraction of Big Money Bags & they posses a far superior Mid-Field than City. A real fan views, before Big Fees&Transfers spoilt the game!!

  9. Girls girls this is an article about Spurs being interested in two City players after all not a handbags at nice paces between Arsenal coming up fats on the rails and Spurs going backwards fast as Appy Arry (the England manager only the London based media want) blows it.

Spurs cant afford to sign Adebayor let alone Guidetti (the 19 year old with the unremarkable record – priceless that quote). If City decide to let go, big IF given Mancini’s focus on young players, he will going to a club people have heard of outside North London.

As for Spurs spending, you lot have been spending millions over the years you just don’t like it to see other clubs doing the same, you sad plastics.

  11. Arsenal will lose against Everton and we will beat Stoke and then its back to 4 points, then Chelsea and Arsenal both have City coming up…..we will get champions league football either way dont care if its 3rd or 4th that we finish.

Norwich, Bolton, Blackburn, Fulham, Stoke, Swansea, QPR, Sunderland, Chelsea and Aston Villa……hardly a difficult run in

  12. Jayme

Hate to say it, and i am a spurs fan before you start… those games listed, wins against norwich, bolton, blackburn and villa. Draw against stoke, fulham and swansea, no points against sunderland, and chelsea.

We wont stay in 3rd, and we will be lucky if we stay in 4th, apart from city, arsenal have an easy run in, and pretty much the same for chelsea. Against the big teams harry’s tactics are rubbish. No good sitting on the bench watching the game, get up and control it harry, thats what your paid to do
