In recent transfer windows we’ve become used to manager Harry Redknapp playing down any transfer rumours and the boss has even told news reporters to look elsewhere on deadline day. Relatively quiet windows have transpired and backed up those claims but all that promises to change this summer.

Harry’s comments in the last few days suggest that there is plenty of squad strengthening to be done at the end of the season, despite the fact that this has largely been our best campaign for years.

Here’s what the manager said when asked about Lille’s Eden Hazard,

“Our owner is willing to pay for an exceptional talent, like Eden Hazard,” the told L’Equipe.

“I have seen him several times recently in Marseilles and then also against PSG in the final of the Coupe de France.

“It will be difficult to get him, but I like him a lot.”

In the same interview, Harry also admitted that he’d had Montpellier forward Olivier Giroud watched.

Other players linked with the club have included Loic Remy, Jan Vertonghen and the Leandro Damiao stories have also re-emerged today.

Of course it is possible that Harry may not be in charge when summer arrives but whatever happens, it looks like we can anticipate a much busier transfer window at White Hart Lane.

It shows that Spurs is definitely on the Arse-anal fans minds as it seems to be that they must search every day for any Spurs articles for them to put their idiotic garbage into all things Spurs. They must sit at home day and night just scanning all the media articles because all you see every day are them jokers on our sites as they must be more worried about them than vice versa.
    Still it shows their IQ levels especially when all they go on about is us not winning anything when neither have they in the last few years.

I just wish we we would stop talking about players unless we are going to make a serious move for them i think we need to spend big and get the players we want who could make a difference such as ,leandro damiao ,eden hazard ,jan vertonghen ,olivier giroud. I think it is time for emanuel ade to move on and i think saha came at the right time when others we out of form but his time has come to go just because we will have too many strikers. Lets get these two young strikers in and keep defoe “look at his record” those three will do us good and if any injury problems up front we have rafa vdv.

    • Frankie I agree totally, this summer is massive. With those signings we would hold our own in Europe and give a serious chance domestically. Also I agree we shouldn’t but Ade, but I do think if for a reasonable price and if he still has quality we almost have to keep Saha. Just for the occasions that we are in now. I don’t want to run out Saha against the likes of Arsenal, United or City, but against that the bottom-feeders he’s golden. Which gives a break to the squad and keeps everybody fresh when it comes to the big games that we were hammered in this year. Look at Man Utd has Berbatov as a fourth striker. Keep Saha one more year, loan out Kane to a premier league outfit watch him grow like Caulker and Naughton, and will be set.

  10. We only SELL players and snap up players for free (except Parker). Maybe our financial situation is worse than we might think, maybe Levy is saving for the new stadium, but I don’t see him spending suddenly 40.000.000 for one player. IMO, this would only be the case if Bale or Modric will be sold. And if I’m wrong: please spend some money first on 2 defenders, the ones we have are old or rubbish. The best transfer we did last year was selling Crouch and the best possible one this year is to let Redknapp leave and sign some tactically gifted coach (e.g. Van Gaal doesn’t have a job for the moment) that can take Spurs to the next level.
