After gaining what Harry Redknapp described as a ‘useful’ point against Stoke, Spurs manager Harry Redknapp hailed a ‘big’ point in Saturday’s early kick off against Chelsea.
In terms of Champions League places, it could indeed prove to be a massive point and for the time being, it maintains our five point lead in fourth, when some of us were expecting the gap to be closed to two.
“It’s a big point for us, it keeps them five points behind us now. I thought we did enough to win the game. We edged it. We kept the ball great and we looked the more likely,” said Harry after the match.
“It’s a good point but there’s a long way to go, there’ll be twists and turns. It’s wide open for the top four. Everyone is capable of winning six or seven in a row.”
However, Rafael van der Vaart felt that we were unlucky not to extend that lead to eight points.
“I think we played well today, we kept the ball well, and I think we deserved more than a point,” VDV said.
“But a point gives us confidence for the next few games, especially to have earned it away from home against a big team. We did well.”
After Tuesday’s FA Cup game with Bolton it’s back to league action with a home tie against Swansea at the weekend.
yes on chances created we should have won. adebayor and rafa should have put their chances away and bale was unlucky with the header…but….it was also a game we easily could have lost with the mata free kick and they also should have had a penalty. and with recent luck i wouldnt have been surprised at all. so all in all we can’t be too down about the draw. still got a 5 point gap and we should take confidence into the run-in from that performance. also with lennon coming back we’ll definitely score more goals. i still think we’ll hold on for top 4.
Thought we deserved the win , thought we was the better team especially in the 2nd half,, cant believe Rafa and ade didnt finish their chances tho, but in the end it looked a much more positive Performance,, Lets hope Lennon can get back playing to his best and stay fit for the last few games.. COYS,
After the run we’ve been on i’m pretty happy with the draw. I’ll be gutted if we finish 4th, Chelsea 5th and they win the Champions League tho!

Really? Aren’t Spurs a “big team? Is that the limit of Spur’s ambitions now? To get a point against the “big teams”
Mid-table beckons for next season.
Clear out the deadwood starting with Old ‘Arry. It’s your only hope.
MIND THE SLIDE, YOU FUCKING SCUM! Better than Arsenal, I fucking think not!
Fifth place beckons.
can we ban this fool? i hate coming to this blog when the trolls aside from Sympathetic are amuck.
anyway, i’m dissapointed by the point only because i watched the match. before the first kick, i would have been glad, so… in the end, i am happy. but being small club mentality? i don’t think supporters have that as much as having to overcome the feeling of underacheiving club. by all accounts, yes, we are. we deserve more, and the acheivments bare. its silly not to see it that way, but just because Arsenal fans feel like they are above us, don’t mean they will be there forever. be proud of yours, we are proud of ours. go home.
Come on you spuds!! Fuck cock!
COYG Foreva!!!
