I’ve quoted Harry’s post-QPR comments about our centre half issues twice already so I won’t repeat them yet again. However, it has emerged today that things are going from bad to worse on the injury front with reports that both Younes Kaboul and Benoit Assou-Ekotto could miss the rest of the season.
Younes has been out since Easter Monday with a knee problem while BAE picked up a shoulder injury in the defeat to QPR.
“We’ve lost some key players at the wrong time, Kaboul, Dawson and now Assou-Ekotto,” Redknapp said.
“Three defenders look like they’re out for the rest of the season so it’s been difficult.”
Harry however was still defiant about the club’s chances of finishing in the top four.
“No excuses. We’ve got four games to go. We can still do it. We’ve got to win four games. We’ve got to go on a good run now,” he added.
Spurs will have to do it with the bare bones of a defence however and you can only hope that there are no further injuries in this already depleted squad.
