Louis Saha was in the news for all the wrong reasons over the weekend but from comments made in today’s press, it’s clear that the former Everton man hopes to still have a future at Spurs.
Saha arrived on the final day of the January transfer window and made an instant impact in his first game with a double in a 5-0 win over Newcastle. He was however left on the bench for much of his stay and finished with 4 goals in 11 matches.
The player is now out of contract but is looking at another deal.
“I cannot say I want to leave,” Saha said in the Sun. “Harry has been good for me personally. What makes him so good is his personality, tactics and the way that he can work and relate to the players.”
After his pro Chelsea comments at the weekend, could Louis Saha possibly have a future at the club? Have his performances thus far actually earned one?
Wont get too many better who would be happy at 3/4th choice, behind Ade, Rafa along with Defoe.
as long as we still buy two other top class stickers then he would Be great as back up!
No its dead wood on the wage bill. Saha, Nelson, King(retire/playercoach), Gallas, Bassong, Corluka, Gomes, Bentley, Jenas, Dos Santos, Pienaar all need to be shifted. Squad: Frediel, Cudicini, Walker, Smith, Naughton, Caulker, Dawson, Kaboul, New CB, Assou, Rose, Lennon, New winger, Sandro, Parker, Modric/or replacement, Livermore, Huddlestone, Bale, Krancjer, Defoe, VDV, 2 x New strikers. Plus bring up: coulibaly, Uvini, Townsend, Falque etc for Europa league and league cup games.
who cares about this sa ha hahahahahaha
I wouldnt mind seeing him go. He went missing in a few games last season and his goal scoring record for Spurs and Everton before that is not good. I would much rather have a younger striker with a bit of potential alongside Adebayor etc. I still think Harry will get someone in over the summer.
2 words for Saha,
Harry Kane!
can u afford him? what with no champions league funds?
mind the gap boys.thursday sunday thursday sunday.i wonder if them spurs fans still have them t shirts??
must break their heart everytime they look at them.
LOL TO SPUDS ! SA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA CAN STAY THERE FOREVER with arry
Never mind superspuds you’ve got your cup final back ,hand over those six king Edwards were coming to take off ya. By the way MIND THE GAP Chim Chimmery Chim Chimmery Chim Chim Cher Roo we are those bastards who’s coming for you!
arsenal and west ham fans fuck off and get a life. one point and one goal more and you would be in our position arsenal fans.
as for west ham you can only cream your pants at the thought of having our team.
bring on next year, you will see.
true just a 1 point GAP.still a GAP tho.its about the same width as the GAP between the champions league and the europa league.pretty big GAP when u think bout it.and yes we will see u next season.but only on a sunday.cos thats when the crap teams that are in the europa play.enjoy the summer my friend.
my post was not to anger arsenal fans into a reaction, it was merely to make you aware how bloody close we are getting to your boys, and make you realize we are constantly making progress whereas you are regressing every season. now you will lose van persie to city or barca, and have replaced him with podolski.
see you next season even if it is a sunday.
Bloody close, we’ve been there the last 3 years and the last 2 if we didn’t have a manger that never heard the words tactics and rotate, we would be ahead of Arsenal. Which just makes losing out to them even more painful. St. Totteringham day bells well not ring next year.
i think we need to bring trough some of are youngsters next season! we have 3 promising strikers kane, lancater, coulibaly use them!
very happy just seen huddlestone was back training today 🙂 4-2-3-1 next season please!! hudd and Sandro as the two would be amazing!
Robbie you should take WELLARD down shite hart lane he’d get a game easy. See ya next season don’t forget our six points COYI!
bless!!
Saha can fuck off for what he put on twitter he has no future at spurs, fuck off back to everton
Take that prick pienaar with him too!!
Even further I have come up with a squad design:
How about this for a 25 man squad:
GK: Friedel, Gordon (Free) or LLoris etc if we spend money (10m), Third goalie get an under 21
DF: Walker, Naughton, Gallas, Kaboul, Vertonghen (10m), Dawson, Caulker (Who I believe is an under 21), Assou-Ekotto, Rose or new LB
DM: Diarra, Parker, Sandro, Livermore, Huddlestone
AM: Lennon, Hoilett (Free), Kaka, Krancjar, Van der Vaart, Bale, Pienaar or Kone (Free) or someone else
AT: Adebayor, Saha, Diamao or Remy or someone else (15m – 25M)
Even with a new goalkeeper and left back we would have an outlay of between 30m and 50m.
King can move on to the coaching staff.
We can sell Gomes, Cudicini, Nelson, Corluka, Bassong, Dos Santos, Jenas, Bentley, Defoe and Pienaar if we opt to bring in another AM. That should bring in around 20m – 30m and just get them off the wages. Modric is swapped for Diarra and Kaka. We can cover Kaka and Adebayors wages with signing on fees, especially if we get some wage space from the above players.
I think they are all gettable, except maybe Kaka, but it would add to the Brazilian connection, aid us with Diamaio and show Bale etc that we have the ambition. If you look at the pace and flexibility in those midfield positions we can play many types of systems for any situation. I would say 4-2-3-1 is most logical but even within that we would have options.
I think that would be a very balanced squad with 2 players for every position and one bonus D, DM, AM and ST for balance.
What do you think?
your squad is ok but i wouldn’t get diarra got enough CDM kaka is past his best as well!
depends. I don’t think we should be paying him 25,000 a week to come off the bench.
Saha should go especially if spurs really are trying to buy leandro damiao because i find it so hard to believe we are sending a scout to check on leandro when we have been after him for two years or was that all lies , or is this just a cover up to excite the fans . if we want him so bad we should just go and sign him because for the first time in his career he has said he might be willing & ready to leave although he is happy at internacianal. We are going to lose between 30 – 50 million pounds by not qualifying for the europe i think daniel levy thought we would be able to qualify with the squad we had now i think he must realise you have to spend money to make money you cant just live in hope so daniel spend it get leandro he is the answer to our european dream
