Spurs linked with Lyon defender

The on / off transfer of Lyon’s Hugo Lloris may be classed in the ‘off’ category at the moment but a surprise suggestion doing the rounds claims that Spurs may be returning to the French club for their left back Aly Cissokho.

Those claims go on to suggest that talks with the club and Benoit Assou-Ekotto  are stalling and that Cissokho could be a direct, like-for-like replacement at left back.

The Lyon player is 24 and has been with the club since 2009. To date, he has just one full international cap for France – a friendly against Norway in 2010.

It’s thought that £7m would be required for Cissokho’s signature but the real key to the deal is BAE. If Benny signs then this is definitely a non-starter.

    • charlie adam is a championship player that was signed by an old man that used to be good at football – what was his name – oh yeah, kenneth.

    • BAE IS good enough. But I think he would be even better (read more mature) with an understudy.
Oh wait, we have got Fryers (more or less) happy days at LB.

    • Hey Taffy, Fryers is training with our academy and is waiting to go to a tribunal to decide the fee to Man Utd.
