Saturday’s defeat to Newcastle told us what we already knew – we need a striker. However, do we really need one so badly that the name of Marouane Chamakh is being mentioned?
The initial reaction, particularly from those outside of the two North London clubs is that surely Spurs wouldn’t take a player on loan directly from Arsenal? But it goes much further than that and you only have to look at the Moroccan’s record to start praying that the story has no substance.
The 28 year old spent eight years at Bordeaux before joining Arsenal where he averaged around one goal every four games. To give them some grudging credit, they have often taken players with similar records and transformed them into goal machines – not this time.
In 63 senior games for Arsenal, Chamakh has found the net 12 times. It’s thought that he was left out of the squad on Saturday ahead of a loan move and hopefully, our need for a striker has led to a column filling story with no concrete grounds to back it up.
its not true
Its aload of cook.
this has to be the low of the lows. I dont think this has no substance at all. Chamakh? Come on levy, get your cheque book out and sign someone of real quality.
source at spurs says there no truth in this…..thank fxxk for that.
You have to admire the Daily Mail and this is quite funny. It is made up as we know, but as a way of getting people to respond it is very good! Link Tottenham with a failed Arsenal player after they have been linked with every forward in the world is very funny. Anyway, we know Ade is sorted but will there be another – watch this space!
Bollocks
ha ha ha ha.
avb gone before november.
Come and suck my cock again son.
Soz daddy i already sucked it today, i want to rim you plz plz let me rim you my gooner daddy.
Ok then Anto a rim it is but let me finish off your brother first.
Can i join in? im a gooner too
I am true spurs fan and moroccan .and I think chamack is rubbich even playing for moroccan national team
About this time last year we took on loan a tall striker who has played for Arsenal and in France…. A year on they have linked us with….Chamakh – a tall striker who has played for Arsenal and in France…. A year on from now, they will link us with a loan move for Giroud…who is a tall striker who has played for Arsenal and in France….Sacrebleu!
There’s no truth in this, coumn inches need to be filled don’t you know?! Anyway, it seems that Adebayor is a done deal and will wear the No. 25 with another on his way in to fill the number 9 spot, hopefully. Even if we do sign Ade, him with Defoe and Kane is not enough for a full campaign COYS.
This story must be nonsense, Chamakh is nothing like good enough. Just made up crap to fill up newspaper space, why not bring back Judas and Willie Young as back up central defenders too.
Please no. Levy get the fxxking money out..
WE’RE HARD UP FOR A STRIKER BUT NOT THAT HARD UP!!
Ok so everyone is outraged by the Chamahk deal but in all honesty should we really be that upset? Spurs are not the richest club in the world maybe we should sign someone who has actually scored. I remember when he actually signed for arsenal a lot of spurs fans were upset because he rejected the move to come to spurs. Here’s my list to strikers that I would consider. With a few wild card stuck in there. Chamakh
Remy
Park chu young
rossi
Graniero
bendtner
Ayew
Carroll
Jovetic
Doumbia
Sturridge
carroll are you serious mate eh no thanks – rossi is also injured and out till at least october – ayew is a winger and granero is a midfielder – just as well your not tottenhams chairman lol
Bendter actually plays as a lone striker for Denmark in a somewhat same formation as Spurs. But I do not think he is good enough. And he wants to be the star at the club where he is at.
I would rather try to get through to January with Ade, Defoe and Kane.
Where is Ade by the way?????
COYS
what about alvaro negredo
Going to the mighy chelsea, as chief rimmer. Terrys bum tastds good but this Negredo ass tastes like a peach. Hmmm delicious. CHELSEA POWER pinkys my name bumming is my game.
R>I>P my beloved Tottenham, would love to bury daniel levy and avb for that matter alive, theryre gonna run this club into the ground, rip spurs
apparentley we have alot of money, before we even sold any players, so wif corluka, pav, modric, pienaar, king and a few more..and still bassong, dos santos jenas bentley to leave, surely we have MORE than enuf room to bring in a world class striker (would love damaio bigtime) and a right winger (as lennon isnt good enuf to start im my opinion), i dont no whats goin on, the same every year, levys a fukiin dickkhead, what i would give just to a settled spurs squad before the seasons starts..keep dreaming trev
