The window for loans to Championship sides opens at the weekend and it is being widely suggested that Spurs will look at a deal that takes Jermaine Jenas away from the club for the rest of the season.
JJ was expected to join Sunderland on deadline day but with the move falling through, it was far too late to make an alternative arrangement. With the player expected to make substitute appearances together with the occasional cup or Europa League start at best, it would seem to make sense for him to play regularly elsewhere.
Whether Jenas will want to drop a level is another matter but with no sign of a permanent move away just yet, it does seem to be a decent option all round.
If he picks a club to go to I will drive him there myself for nothing,as long as the move is permanate,the same applies to Bentley and Gomes.
Yes he should move on but can’t understand all the hatred for JJ, He never moaned or acted up against the club – bet no one hated him when he was scoring crucial goals against the scum.

Never ceases to amaze me how many morons follow football. Jermain Jenas has been a loyal servant to Spurs and while no Modric he was good enough to get into the England squad. Just why these tossers find it necessary to heap vitriol on him beggers belief. Mind you I’m apparently one of the minority who remains perplexed why you would sack the manager and dismantle a team that has finished in its highest place ever since the formation of the Premier League and taken on and beaten some of the best teams in Europe.
Redknapp was dismissed because of his performance from Feb to May. He either proved his lack of commitment to the club or proved he’s not capable of taking Spurs to the next. I think both. Because we did not qualify for the CL Luka Modric was always going to be sold. Apart from him and vd Vaart, Ledley King was the only other first team regular from last season who are not with us now. So i dont know about dismantled… The club was always going to experience some transition this summer because of Luka Modric. With that in mind- was it not the perfect time to appoint a replacement for the aging Redknapp?
Perhaps if levy had allocated ‘arry some more cash for players last january the cl drive wouldn’t have petered out like it did? Seems to avb has got more in this recent window than ‘arry did last year. Having said that lets get behind avb. COYS.
I take your point Declan, although it seems Dawson and Huddlestone, both regulars under Redknapp have also been deemed surplus to requirements. Perhaps had the likes of Dembele been brought in last January when we were 5 points off the lead and playing superb football we wouldn’t be having this conversation. All we got were the ageing Neilson and Saha on free transfers (no doubt down to Levy’s budgetary measures) and the rest is history. The team ran out of steam at a crucial time. Let’s hope AVB can deliver but with 7 points dropped already it isn’t looking good is it?
