Tonight’s Europa League clash with Lazio should give new Spurs head coach Andre Villas-Boas the perfect opportunity to take a look at some new signings but the main question centres around the goalkeeper.

Hugo Lloris has dominated many of the Spurs related headlines since joining on transfer deadline day and AVB was full of praise for the French captain at yesterday’s press conference.

“The first two days after the international week were more like recovery days for him,” Villas-Boas said.

“From then on he was training more with Tony Parks to get used to his methods, which is very, very important. And obviously he mixed in with what we were doing on the pitch.

“The only thing we can say is that his talent is immense and easily visible from the time he has trained with us.”

AVB wouldn’t be drawn on whether Hugo would start tonight but it would seem like a logical move to take the opportunity to see the Frenchman in action.

  1. Of course he will start. He is one of the best goalkeepers in world football and is to be our keeper for years to come. He must start tonight to keep him happy. If he plays well and keeps our first clean sheet then he is obviously going to be in contention for Sunday too!

  2. Lloris
    Walker Vertonghen Caulker Naughton
    Huddlestone Dembele
    Townsend Dempsey Bale
    Defoe

If Adebayor is fit for the weekend, give him a start against QPR. Bale came off early vs Reading so he should raring to go. Townsend to deputise for Lenny.
