Robert Beric wouldn’t have been a familiar name to Spurs supporters at the start of the season but the 21 year old Slovenian has already made his mark on the club after scoring against us for Maribor last month.
Beric’s performances with his club side are said to be attracting the attention of some of Europe’s top clubs with Napoli the latest name to be mentioned.
The player’s agent, Amir Ruznic says he isn’t surprised by the reports.
“Beric is a player who works hard and I am not surprised that interest in him is growing,” Ruznic said.
“I’m aware that Napoli know him well, but up to this point nobody from that club has contacted me.
“That is, however, no obstacle to a deal being struck further down the line.”
Tottenham’s name has also been mentioned and Thursday’s Europa League game gives AVB and his team another chance to take a look at the striker. Domestically, Beric’s record isn’t exactly prolific with just under a goal every four games but at 21 there may be potential and this doesn’t look to be the worst striking suggestion we’ve been linked to.
