As Tottenham await news of their next opponents in today’s Europa League draw, our defender Kyle Walker claims that the club are going all out to win the trophy. Spurs had to wait until the final group match before making certain of qualification and while our European form has been mixed, Kyle is adamant that we have the quality to lift the cup in May.

“It’s massive for me. I want to win stuff at Tottenham and this tournament is a great opportunity to get a medal,” Walker said.

“We have been good throughout the group stages. Things haven’t always gone our way but we’ve hung in there and got the results we needed.”

The player also believes we can hang on to fourth spot and claim a Champions League place at the end of the season.

“With the squad we have, we can do both. We are quite capable of it,” Walker says in The Sun.

“We need to go out and attack every game. Hopefully that will put us in a good position at the end of the season.”

Tottenham remain third favourites at 14/1 to lift the Europa League trophy but there are some potentially tricky ties awaiting us in today’s draw.

  2. I would LOOOOOOVE that.
Just one of the above would do it for me. But why not both.
If we had to choose. Which would it be?
Surely CL….. Or…. Winning the Europa League would be rather great. It has risen in my world over the last few years.
Still, CL next season is a must.
