Injury news from a Spurs point of view has been largely positive with Scott Parker returning to the squad after a long term Achilles issue and Benoit Assou-Ekotto in contention for a starting role in this weekend’s FA Cup tie.
However, the forgotten man in all this is Younes Kaboul and the French centre half has been dealt another blow today with reports that he is set to stay on the sidelines until February at the very least.
Prior to the Reading game on New Year’s Day, Andre Villas-Boas gave us his update on the situation.
“Younes still has, maybe, a month to return to form and feeling full confidence,” AVB said in his pre-match press conference.
Suggestions today indicate that this may have been optimistic and that a late February return may be the earliest we can expect to see Kaboul back in a Spurs shirt.
In turn, that should ensure Michael Dawson’s immediate future at the Lane although a return to form, capped by an important goal at Reading on Tuesday should have already taken care of any issue.

so a delay of another couple of weeks for a man who has been out for more than four months is an “injury blow”?? go find something meaningful to write about..
actually, i would suggest that our best defender being out for longer than first thought, is a blow.
but maybe thats just me.
