Zeki Fryers played the whole ninety minutes as Spurs Under 21’s beat their Wolves counterparts by five goals to one in their Premiership clash at Hotspur Way on Monday. In a game where Tottenham dominated for long periods, Zeki would have seen little action as he continues his development, while at the other end of the pitch, goals from Jon Obika (2), Andros Townsend, Tom Carroll and Iago Falque sealed the win.
After the victory, Zeki spoke about his arrival at the club,
“It’s been great so far, mixing in with the lads and the facilities here are great to learn and to get better,” Zeki is quoted as saying on the club’s website.
“I knew a couple of the lads from England youth internationals and I pretty much know everyone already. I’ve just got to get to know the staff now. I’m very happy to be here.”
Fryer’s controversial transfer has taken its fair share of the headlines in the January window but the player is quietly going about his work and looking towards a point when he can break into the first team.
