Jermain Defoe managed to bag two goals for England’s national side against San Marino on Friday night but the striker needs to bring that form back to club level in the final weeks of the Premiership season. JD notched the kind of poacher’s goals that can sometimes be missing from his play and was happy with his contribution.
“It’s good for confidence. Sometimes you play in games like this and it can be a horrible game when you don’t play well but still win. But we had a good result and a good performance and that’s very encouraging,” Defoe said.
“All the things we worked on in training came off and it all went well, so the manager is happy.”
Jermain used the word confidence and hopefully that will stay with him when Spurs tackle Swansea on Saturday. His double strike last week may have come against a poor team but hopefully it will translate into the start of a goal scoring run that keeps Spurs in the top four by the end of the campaign.
Defoe is a greedy lil shit, he is fucking crap.
