Rumours of a definite sale involving Emmanuel Adebayor began to gather momentum over the weekend but the concerns remain that there will be no takers for a man whose wage demands seem to have comfortably outstripped his endeavours in this campaign.

In England, clubs have witnessed Ade’s performances at first hand and with QPR’s relegation, it’s likely that our last hope has gone with regards to sides in this country.

However, there are strong suggestions that Monaco are preparing a bid for the Togolese striker and this is certainly one club who should have no issues with meeting the players £100k+ per week wages.

Monaco are looking to challenge big spending PSG and are targeting a summer spree with Adebayor somewhere near the top of their wish list. However, the fee quoted at £5m may sound a little on the short side but is it worth taking whatever the club can get in order to get Ade off the wage bill or do you feel that the centre forward could yet have a future at White Hart Lane?

  1. Don`t see Ade having any future with us and can`t see why anyone would want to buy him after the season he has had, but saying that i`d prob still start him at chelsea tomorrow,, as Dempsey`s workrate was dreadful against southamton and Defoe just couldn`t hold the ball upp on his own up front.
Think Ade is not the only players that needs to be got rid off in summer.

  2. Selling adebayor will be an error. I believe that next season, with AVB confident, Ade can become the big striker. Look at Gignac at Marseille, Torres at Chelsea. You will remark that Ade is not finished yet. He suffered from AVB’s confident at the beginning of this season. For instance, If Levy can Replace AVB for Rednapp He will see the result. Ade’s performance is up to AVB, that’s all
