It may have been a disappointing season from a fans perspective but if you had kept the faith with Spurs from a betting point of view, our club ultimately proved to be the second most profitable over the course of the season.
Based on a win only bet on each game during the campaign, bookmakers SpreadEx confirm that Tottenham were second only to Manchester United in terms of a return – £61.40 profit for a £10.00 stake over 38 games. Plus, and it is no real consolation, we are seven places ahead of Arsenal in ninth.
The vast percentage of the profit comes from a 5/1 punt on Spurs to win away to Manchester United last September but further victories against Arsenal and Manchester City helped to boost the overall total.
It’s an interesting survey which you can find by clicking here and if you do fancy the occasional flutter, it might be worth bearing in mind for next season.
