It’s tempting not to comment on the Gareth Bale stories but the news has talked of little else over the last few days. Even if you have the strongest of opinions on the matter then it’s interesting at least to look at comments made by those in the game.

In no particular order, there was this made by John Scales who was referred to in one newspaper as a former Spurs ‘star’.

“Gareth Bale should go to Real Madrid – great move for player and Spurs.”

Today’s press is widely quoting this from former manager David Pleat

“I think he’s a little bit young to go abroad and I doubt he’d find it easy,” Pleat said to BBC Sport.

“Many have failed when they have moved overseas. One or two have succeeded, but not many. Most have had a difficult time.

“I think he is young to go, but he might feel that with his partner and baby, it will be a new start for him. It might be better if he stayed, continued to work and maybe next summer leave if that is his wish.”

Those comments could also be justified when you look at the experiences of Michael Owen and Jonathan Woodgate.

Lastly, there’s the claim by Robbie Savage that Bale must move to Manchester United but we’ll pass on that.

So what’s your view as far as the club is concerned amidst suggestions that the fee offered could rise above £100m? And can you detach yourself and look at it from the player’s perspective – would Gareth be looking at previous failures right now – a list which might also include Luka Modric?

  1. sale him to madrid not to manchester is not worth 80 m
remenber when played for tottenham we lost every game how time change please sale him get remy from QPR +solalo

  2. Sell him if he really wants to go but only to Real Madrid and only if they cough up all the cash in one hit none of this piecemeal crap. Plus the player must definately come if included ( Di Maria or Coentrao ) probably. No pulling out at the last minute.

  3. Is Bale ready for such a giant step? I personally don’t think so. Another year at White Hart Lane would do the youngster the world of good. Is there a season as good as last in Bale ever again? Cash in Spurs & bring in some new talent. COYS!

  4. Honestly, let him go. We can buy his quality 3 fold with a world record bid. Chadli is already showing glimpses of being the prolific scorer that Bale is. Then Buy another 19-21 y/o to play Left/Right wing/inside forward. I honestly believe that we have the resources to make the bid money work for us this transfer window.

  5. If we can get 100 million pounds hard cash with no Real rejects thrown in, or no hire purchase plan involved then sell him. If you are going to sell him in the UK then sell him to Man City not Man Utd. That alone would cause the red half of Manchester to have a nervous breakdown or at least a collective case of shingles. Really the smart thing to do is to say nothing. With any luck Perez will have been pilloried by Real fans by season start.

  6. Gareth should follow the Yellow brick road to Madrid and continue his developement with a big club. RM are intent on usurping the Barca/Neymar deal and are prepared to offer silly money, this scenario will not happen again. His unique talents must be showcased at the highest level, anything less is a waste. We, the fans should thank him and wish him every success.

Bale to collect a CL winners medal with Spurs 2500/1
Bale to collect a CL winners medal with Real M. 4/1

  7. His head has been turned now as I fear there is not that much smoke without fire. So if they stump up the big bucks we hear then sell him as long as it’s invested in players. If the money is not re-invested then AVB should flatly refuse to sell (if he has any say !) And do it quick so we dont end up buying dross.

    • Smoke without fire … or Smoke and mirrors.
1/To be realistic, has Gareth made any comment no. So we do not know his opinion.
2/ Levi has the contract – it isn’t up to RM, the agent, Marca or anyone else to allow Gareth to go ( If indeed he even wants too, we do not know, most of this is Marca driven speculation and illegal tapping up from RM).
3/ Head has been turned .. stupid expression, hate it.
4/ I would obviously avoid wanting to see Man U strengthened, but even more hate to see the bullying tactics of RM (and his ‘in the pocket’ ally Plattini) succeed.

  8. i think levy shouldnt back down, the player is under contract and the club should make him stay because the club comes first and the best thing for the club is Bale staying end of.

  9. No player is worth £1M let alone the silly money that is flying around football today. Spurs should snap their hand off as no player is bigger than the club. £85M plus a player or two (would the club be willing to sell if not for Bale?? i think not!) Spurs have a strong squad and should be looking to the future not constantly looking over their shoulder. Sell and use the money to move onwards and upwards!!

    • They are though – they are entertainers, and Real wouldn’t spend that money if they weren’t sure they would make it back. People want to see the best, and for that, they have to pay.
Real made the Beckham transfer fee back in less than 2 days, and that was in shirt sales (worldwide) alone. I don’t think the players are worth the wages they’re on, but there is, for me, no denying they’re worth the transfer fee, as clubs make it back – and that, is good business.

  10. Don’t think Bale will be worrying about failing. He’s never lacked confidence in himself.

My head says of course Spurs should take the silly money if it’s on offer (not players instead though). But my heart doesn’t want those bastards in Madrid to win this battle.

  11. If he really wants to go then let him give an interview to Spurs TV explaining why and get him out quick so we can spend the cash.

In reality, wait until a week before the Spanish season starts, sell him, have no time to get any replacements in, get fleeced for Jordan Henderson and some other dross signings at inflated prices who don’t even need and then wait for the cycle to repeat itself in two years when Paulinho is tapped up.

  12. £80m that’s a hell of a lot of money!!!!
Is anyone apart from Messi worth that kind of money??? World Record fee??? In my opinion we should make a deal with Madrid for next season regardless if we make CL or not. If they must have him this season make them pay a little more & splash the cash (For once I’m with Mr Levy) PS I thought that Spain got baled out by the EU why didn’t Real Madrid pay the dept in these times of poverty (its a funny ole game!!!)

  13. Personally think its all come from Marca a pro Madrid paper hell bent of making up lies to unsettle the club and player. The British press have just copied evertything Marca says as they all quote according to Marca etc. the British press are afraid to print anything different because they might miss out on an exclusive should marcas lies be true. There all like sheep. The credible sources. The club and sky sports all report none of this and that spurs are looking to renew bales contract. Even Espn and itv credit the story to Marca. They run it but open with according to reports in Spain or according to Marca etc etc.

What bale said in his previous interviews is that he was happy at spurs and wanted to get the new season started lifting spurs into the champions league again. It’s dirty tricks by Marca and Madrid which are disrespectful and down right out of order the stuff they make up to unsettle. Like the rehashed modric quotes that bale supposedly said the exact same lines about. The gentlemans agreement again rehashed modric lines. Apparently Marca have had people in the room listening levy.. Well they must have as they quote him or what he was supposed to of said. It’s rubbish.

  14. Sorry if this is long winded , im 42 and supported spurs all my life , but the sale of bale makes good business sense, id hate to see him go , I saw hoddle waddle crooks Archibald ardiles villa gazza all leave and other greats retire ,but spurs carried on. Take bale out of the team last season and we were in trouble that’s common knowledge, but we are going to be a different team this year providing the powers at be address our striking issues and in my opinion left back issue. We have added massive talent in paulinho and chadli , these 2 are going to be big players once they adjust to the prem lg.The money generated from the sale of bale will address our striking issues, yes we loose 20 odd goals from bale if he has another great season but we could be replacing that with 2 20 goal strikers and others with the skill to provide more and score their own. My kids idolise bale , I know its cost me a fortune on FIFA13 so they can keep buying and sell him , they will be heartbroken but from experience from my childhood those feelings of hurt and sadness soon go when celebrating new talent and even a trophy. As for bale himself, I love my job and like the people I work with , but if I was offered the same job sat in sunny Spain for twice the money I was getting now , id of left a week ago, not many of you would turn an offer like that down .Football isn’t the same anymore its a business, and spurs whether we like it or not is a business and its run by business men .Lets be positive spurs realistically are in a no lose situation , if he stays great , if he goes for silly money then great ( so long as we spend at least half of it or better still all of it )

    • Jason,

I have to disagree! Selling Bale now, makes no good
      business sense at all!

Over the past 3-4 years, as a Club, under the smart
stewardship of DL, We have been progressing
towards this point (A squad who are now ready to
become regular CL qualifiers. And make a serious
      challenge for The EPL Title!)

Apparently, the bookies are making Bale odd’s on
to join Madrid! I would like to see the odds on Spurs
achieving the above, with and without GB!

He is 24! With him we have a greater chance of CL
football and a crack at the title! You have to look
at the whole package! Bale is potentially worth over
200 million in revenue for THFC over the next 2/3
seasons. He will then still only be 27! Still worth
50-60 million plus! We as a club would be an established
CL Team, attracting CL quality players and Bale, then
would not be as much of a lose! He even may want
      then to stay!

It’s the bigger picture that I hope and think DL is
      being driven by!

      COYS!1

      • taking your views and points on board I can see it from both sides , however, all this attention on bale and Tottenham can have an unsettling affect, now depending on who you believe there had been an 85 mill bid for bale , and he himself wants to talk to Madrid according to the likes of sky sports ,if that is indeed the case then he has to go , keeping him for another year will have a negative affect on the whole club and come the January window we will have this will he wont he saga all over again

        • Agree! It’s a tough call, but if I had any say in
the matter, instead of selling now and buying
3-4 decent players, which is what has been
suggested. Instead of paying 200,000 per week
to those 3-4 decent players. I would match Madrid’s
offer to Bale, have him extend his contract by a
further 12 months. 4 years in all and tell him a
buy-out clause of 60 million£ is in place commencing
          from the Summer 2015!

If then Madrid still want him, at the ripe old age of
27!! Then they can have him!

Bale (and his agent) do not lose out financially,
our prospects of consecutive CL qualification in
my opinion increase 10 fold. The revenue brought
in by that and having a high profile player like GB
has to be worth 150+ million to the club! We will
be able to attract CL quality players and therefore
          plan for GB’s departure!

All we need to add to the squad right now, is another Front man, including Soldado! The money is already
in place for him and with the pending sales of Ady,
Parker, Huddlestone, Rose or BAE, even Dempsey!
This would generate enough to be able to bring in
          a 70-80,000 a week quality striker!

I truly believe to let GB go to Madrid now will put
us back as a club 5 years!

I hate myself for this ITK crap! But I have heard
(please forgive me!!) That Bale’s family are not
exactly rushing around in excitement to pack!!

          • From a marketing and generating revenue for the club he is worth more to us than 100 million , just hate the crap in the news all the will he won’t he , oh his heads been turned etc etc , I go fom reading one persons comment and thinking yes he will stay to reading the next persons comment and think , he’s gone already lol

          • I know it’s so frustrating!

I keep coming up with various thoughts on
how and why he might stay because I am
desperate for him to do so!

I,v supported THFC for over 44 years and like
many others, I feel we are now on the verge
            of something a bit special!

And when I write a list of names down, there
is something about the first list that makes me
believe it all the more and something about
the second list, that gives me doubts!!

            Dembele, Soldado, Vertonghan, Sandro,
Paulinho, Bale, Kaboul, Chaldi, Lloris, Etc, Etc!

            Then………

            Dembele, Soldado, Vertonghan, Sandro, Paulinho,
            Kaboul, Chaldi, Lloris! Etc Etc!

  15. Either way the club will win [a] if we sell we can use the money to buy new talent to build a team or [b] he he stays and we still have a great player.

  16. Sell him! Take the money and run! So long as we buy 2-3 more world class players. It’s much more importent to have world class all over the pitch than in 1 position. The money will make us into a regular top 4 side and Bale would have done more for us by going than staying.

  17. Isnt Chadli a player that is in the same mold as Bale? if so do we really want to have him sat on the bench or have him in the side while we move Bale into a more of a striker role where he wasnt as affective for us. Why dont we take the money and buy the players we really need, why not put bids in for Baines, wrap up Soldado and maybe another world class striker. I would even go as far as buying a third forward from the championship as cover and also cash in on Ad and defoe. We seem to have many players that we could cash in on that are just there picking up silly wages and laughing at the fans

  18. I wonder if this thought ever goes through Levy’s mind…

“If I don’t sell Bale to Madrid, then they will surely buy someone else, perhaps even Arsenal target, Luis Suarez. Liverpool losing Suarez and Arsenal missing out on Suarez will certainly only help our Champions League aspirations. Or better yet they won’t sell Modric to United.”

I just cannot see any scenario of selling Bale that helps Tottenham challenge the top 4. There is lots of upheaval in the top of the table this year and it really, truly could be Bale’s and Tottenham’s year.

  19. Let him go. If we get a world record fee, then great. USe the money, improve the team/squad and hopefully take us up a notch. We only want players who will give 100%. Bale obviously wants out, so agree a fee and sell him.

  20. Sell Bale £80m plus left back and winger on offer
Soldado already being bought separately so use 80m on
Pastore, damio (or dzeko) and…..suarez. F up the arsenal in the process and tell me that lot won’t produce more goals than bale!

  21. Sky Sports are now reporting that an £86m offer has definitely been tabled, that is a pure cash offer as at 3:13pm.

  22. I am hoping Bale is different than Berbatoss and Rat face and will want to be a part of what every Spurs fan would want a Great side playing in a new stadium.
AVB is putting all the pieces together i’m hoping he stays you win nothing by selling your best players.

  23. DO NOT SELL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES THIS SEASON.
I am not small minded enough to know he will not go there at some point. But this is bigger than him just going to Real. It would also mean that Real would end their ineterest in Luis Suarez which would in turn leave him open to a move to Arsenal should they stump up the cash. This would be disastrous for us. If he stays one more year, Real will bid for Suarez and that will leave Arsenal in some trouble.
A Bale-less Spurs will not overcome a Suarez led Arsenal unfortunately.
Take the 60 million next year…

  24. I hope he stays until he retires, but that will never happen. So sell him now and use the money to help pay for the new stadium.

  25. No bid therefore no sale.. He aint going anyway this summer but Madrid will get him for 60mill next…

Its more the impact it will have on bale and the team, they must talk about it within there groups..

if we buy soldado and keep bale I think we have a chance of the title this year

  26. The money for Bale is useless in terms of buying “world-class” strikers/players since, as we have already found, they have gone to other clubs with CL football.

If Bale is sold there is no replacement available and we are down 20-odd goals for the season. Saying that Chadli is a replacement has to be blind optimism at this stage since most of us have only seen him on YouTube and he looks to have a long way to go before he is on the same level as Bale…maybe one-day.

Levy should keep Bale and set the lawyers loose on Bale’s agent for encouraging his client to break his contract and the same in Spain for Real Madrid, although the whole system in Spain is so corrupt it would probably finish-up with Spurs banned from Europe. No club can build teams to challenge the “big-boys” while there is no legal redress to stop this type of activity as those at the top only remain at the top by bullying all those lower down the food-chain….a bit like us and Aston Villa earlier….lucky escape there for us.

Finally, if Bale does go, then I expect AVB to be close behind because, once again, he is being deprived of the tools he needs to make us great again. In the final analysis we are where we are because of Levy and his failure to invest in previous seasons when we had qualified for the CL, so now he has to stay strong and keep Bale.

    • How can you call him a turncoat? Has he refused to train like berba and modric? Has he said publicly he wants out? No! Until he does (and even if he does), I’m not going to bad mouth a man we all love.

      • He hasnt said he wants to stay either!! WHY NOT? Why do the press not ask him outright? Gareth Bale, do you want out of Spurs or are you happy to stay and fight for the club that as given so much and has so much more to offer???

  27. Having supported Spurs over 50 years I have never been so disappointed in football in general as I am now. Spurs have said all a long Bale isn’t for sale, it’s a bit childish really Isn’t for sale means ISN’T FOR SALE but still Madrid have courted Bale & now they are forcing the issue. I would like to know why they haven’t been reported to FIFA especially Zedane who is really nothing to do with transfers in or out but he is allowed to speak. 100 million is a big figure but not just for the player but the marketing rights as well. What happened to the Greaves of the world when he didn’t want to be the first £100,000 footballer hence £ 99,999 a real legend who wasn’t driven by money. Football fans are the real problem today. If they didn’t pay the high price to go & watch a team, buy a shirt & if possible even buy a bit of a players s..t there wouldn’t be the problems there are today. Where is the logic when the average fan earns £25,000 to £ 40,000 PER YEAR & then pays good money to watch a player earning 2, 3,4,5 times that EVERY WEEK !!!!!! Who’s taking the Michael out of who ???? I’ll stop here before I get even more annoyed. Have fun people, it won’t last forever.

  28. I think it should be 80 million and let him go – plus an all inclusive two weeks holiday for all spurs season ticket holders – oops forgot to mention also play their dirty game (Plus Ronaldo)

  29. I believe that the best deal would be the reported 51M + Di Maria and Fabio Contrau (or however his name is spelt).
Think about it, in terms of an attacking left sided midfielder, Di Maria is probably the bet in the world after Bale, in Contrau, we would also have one of the best left full backs in the world (allowing us to sell benny or rose and get some more money) + the cash pays for all of Paulinho, Chadly and Soldado. So the sale of bale had basically funded the purchase (and probably still leave us change) of 5 World class players (ok, 4 as chadly is still unknown). People have got to see the business sense in this. We would be a much stronger team without bale IMO.
If they offer us just cash, I would not accept, because lets face it, what WORLD CLASS player would come to spurs who have no champions league football and have just sold thier best player ??? Nobody unless we are going to pay 200k a week in wages which we aint…

  30. Anyone else fed up with Bale nonsense? I got fed up months ago with the lies and hundreds of non-Spurs opinions about where Bale must go and have completely stopped following any Bale rubbish. I’ve been trying to keep up with reality, things like Roberto Soldado joining Spurs for a record transfer fee, but I’m trawling through a tidal wave of ‘where I’d like Bale to go’ fabrications to pick up real transfer news. Worst thing is I kind of expected the hysteria from the anti-Spurs brigade. We’ve signed Paulinho, Chadli and Soldado, the gooners are still pretending to sign someone and Cheatski have broken the bank for Van Ginkel. I think some people are getting very worried.

  31. if this was fergie (as it was with ronaldo) he’d say no man is bigger than the club, we are not balanced enough with GB in the side- we play around him… sell him, get soldado and lopez and we will have an awesome squad and equally awesome flexibility come january window… gareth its been emosh….. you have done so much and now you need to try a new challenge!! COYS!!

  32. Why is there such a clamour to get him sold? Marca started this BS and the UK media are stirring things further. The only loyal people nowadays are fans. Bale was talking about being happy at Spurs, still learning etc etc. All of a sudden he wants to move. BS! How will one more season at Spurs hurt his prospects? We are about to have a stronger squad then last year, so what’s his hurry?
If he’s that keen on going, then let’s get the best possible price and way goodbye.
Thanks for a very memorable two or three seasons.

  33. The Bale issue is a difficult one. The money being stated is astronomical and therefore very tempting, but i would urge caution on selling him now. The likelihood of CL qualification next year would decrease, even with new players as they would have to get used to the club and the EPL. Potential earnings from the CL could be between £30-40m, and if we dont qualify due to not having Bale that in reality makes his sale value drop by £30-40m in lost. Everyone seems to think we can sign anyone with the Bale money, but we all know top players want to play in the CL, unless we either qualify or pay silly wages like man shitty & chelscum ! we wont attract these players, we cannot afford to do that and shouldn’t. For me the best way foreword would be to sell Bale next year towards the end of the window, this way we could privately agree a fee and spend the money we would get beforehand on players without being quoted inflated prices by clubs who want a share of our £ pie. Money is not the be all and end all, and football matters on the pitch should be considered a priority. If we do sell Bale, it should be for cash in one immediate payment, no players and for no less than £100m ! lets see if RM really have this kind of money, i think not. If we sell, then we should sell on our terms not that of RM or marca !!!
    F*ck RM & Marca
    COYS !!!!!

  34. I love the man, but if Real are serious (and I think they are), get a world record, cash only, deal out of them and accept, while at the same time offering Gareth a massive new deal. I’m sure he would decide to join them, but I wont blame him – they’re much MUCH bigger than us, end of.
If he starts throwing his toys out the pram, which I don’t think he will, then I’d say – tough, you’re staying, deal with it. But while he is being professional about it, I think we should.

  35. Firstly bale is under contract for the next 3 years, secondly thought we had a” special partnership” with rm, looks one way to me. Thirdly rm have been under achieving for years running second to Barcelona so joining them is no step up. AND bale has the chance of this coming season not only making CL but with the new signings for the first time in over 50 years actually challenging for the title, and then not only earning the rm salary but becoming the start of a great tottenham renaissance

  36. I,m in the David Pleat camp!

I,v followed Spurs for over 44 years, so of course I want
our best players to stay, particularly as I believe, like most
Tottenham Supporters, we are on the verge of something
    special!

But I also want Bale to remain at WHL, with AVB and an
ever improving squad around him because I genuinely
believe in the long term, this would be the better career
and domestic choice at this moment for the boy!

The team will be built around him, he will be given the
free role he desires. We read he has a fantastic relationship
with AVB. The players seem a tight-knit group. He is a
new father and seems a very British lad and I assume so
is his young family. He will get a much improved contract
if he stays and 2-3 years from now he will still only be
26-27, players apparently peak around this age, even a
little older. So it is not as though this is or will be his
one and only chance to challenge himself abroad. An if
he dose then go, I feel he will be going better equipped!

I may well be being a bit deluded, but I think that this
is the way Bale and his young family, will also be
    viewing it!!

    We shall see!

    COYS!!

    • You are not deluded at all, what you said makes perfect sense, I have been a fan for 55yrs and well remember spurs being touted by the media as one of the best teams in Europe along with RM. The haters won’t like that but it is fact!!

  37. Bale has been outstanding for spurs last season but I would sell him, If we get 85 million plus coentrao (can’t see di maria coming) we could purchase 3/4 top quality players.
I would purchase Bernard, Eriksen, lamela & damiao
We also have some players i believe will step up this season these being Holtby & Sigursoon, and returning from injury sandro & kaboul plus the purchases we have made already look quality hopefully get solado who will score 20 plus easy. I believe we can push on and get that 4th place, maybe even higher???
Tottenham have and always will have outstanding flair players villa, ardilies, gazza, waddle, hoddle, ginola and of course the best of them all andy sinton!!!!!
tottenham will continue to be great!!!!!!!!!!!

  38. Anyone here saying we should sell him because we could use the money to strengthen the team/squad just really don’t understand football at all, until we are in the champs league we couldn’t get players good enough unless u think we will use the money to buy Luis suarez? Then u really are clueless! We can get players like soldado not falcaos cavanis lewandowskis because we ain’t in the champs league so if anyone actually wants the CLUB to be successful than he stays tough shit if he don’t like it. If any idiots say ‘if he wants to go let him poor little soul’ then fuck off from my club and support the scum

    • Spot on Baz. Sell our best player than it tells the world we are a selling club. Why do you think (if you believe the media) Real want to buy him for a record fee. This is the same club who are still struggling to pay off the Modric fee, but let’s just say for now they can afford him; doesn’t it beg the question why they are prepared to spend that amount on one single player? Why don’t Real sign 3 or 4 top players from Europe with that amount of money?

We are so close to building a team capable of winning the league. Sell Bale and kiss goodbye to any hopes of winning the league. Best teams in the world keep their best players and for good reason.

Personally I don’t believe in the hype. It all stems from the gutter press and media. Real are doing a fine job and they are laughing at the expense of Spurs. They (Marca) plant a seed into the media and they watch it spread like a cancer. If you believe the hype then Real has done it’s job.

      • Agree! None of us know exactly what Bale has said
or not! He seems an honest enough lad and many,
many times, seems genuine when expressing his
        contentment at Spurs with AVB.

I believe he is being told by his agent to remain quiet,
and not show his hand, in the hope of his agent getting
an improved deal out of THFC! FOR THEM BOTH!

And therefore (and I,m convinced!!) when GB runs
out on the pitch at Selhurst Park on the 18th and
at WHL the week after. We have to remember this
and continue to sing his name (along with the rest)
        to the rafters!

        COYS!!

  39. Bale has always appeared to me to be a decent down to earth lad, who’s feet are firmly planted to the ground by the people and family around him. Surely he must look at the way that Real Madrid, Marca and Zidane have been behaving, and think to himself, is this a set up that I really want to be a part of. He must also consider how he will develop as a player, considering how Spurs, and especially most recently AVB have really got the best out of him, and guided him to becoming the player that we are talking about today. In the EPL is a big deal but in La Liga, he will just be another cog in the overhyped machine that is Real, the 2nd best team in a league of only 2 teams.

  40. Baz couldn’t agree with you more.

Alan, Holtby is a player for the future, he is a couple of seasons away from being a regular in the starting 11. I’m not convinced about Soldado being a great fit for Spurs, he certainly no Christian Benteke. We need a flair/playmaker, someone who can chnage a game. Without Bale, who do we have? Chadli? Only time will tell.

  41. I am also really fed up with all the talk about Bale I want to know who we are buying in order to improve the team that includes Bale, we do not want to enhance our reputation as a selling club (especially other teams in the prem) what message does this send out to other players we would wish to sign, they will see playing for spurs as a stepping stone to RM or some other club, we want spurs to get back to being one of the top clubs in Europe again and you don’t do that by selling your best players

  42. RM still owe us money for Rat face. I bet they try to split the payment. I think 60 million plus controau and di Maria would be an ok deal as long as they paid the whole sum. Plus 90% of this story is Marca generated anyway. Until the club makes a statement it’s all speculation.

  43. I think we should sell for how ever much we can get, but include a clause that we get right of first refusal on any buy back (at a much lower price!)
