Spanish international striker Roberto Soldado has finally been confirmed as a Spurs player after successfully passing a medical. The club made an official announcement via the website on Monday afternoon and the 28 year old is expected to be available for the visit of Real Sociedad this weekend.

The news came after an isolated rumour began to circle the net on Sunday suggesting that there was an issue with the player’s knee, leading to much gossip on social media. However, hopefully the news will answer even the most cynical of supporters.

Roberto is our third major signing of the summer after Paulinho and Nacer Chadli were confirmed last month and as the club’s record signing (so far) much will be expected of him.

  1. c’mon! roberto soldado great signing clever I doubt bale will stay like real striker alvaro morata & jese rodriguez CB needed! vlad chiriches or toby alderweireld also erik lamela neilton mestzk miralem pjanic alvaro vadillo & alen halilovic bright prospects THFC 1882 outlaws casuals yids! lol.

  2. I thought we played Espanyol this weekend.

Am I going to have to stop reading blogs as well as the main press?

I doubted myself and had to search to see if Real Sociedad and Espanyol was infact the same team. If you keep getting told Bullshit you start to believe it.

Get your facts right before pressing upload. The independant writes that Monaco beat us 5-3 then later in their drivel they change it back to 5-2. Who does your proofing? I will do it for…. £400 a week. You have my email!!

    • Just seen your spread the spurs love via social media. Hmm spreading false statments is Marca’s job. Mail your post to them, they’ll print it.

  3. ???? What are you on?!! Lol, you stoned? And just to make you look even more fuckin stupid, we play ESPANIOL this weekend. . . . Pfffft!!!

    • Wow… Hulk? Not a chance! Pepe? He is old and expensive! They won’t sign Coentrao due to his wages and Di Maria doesn’t want to play for Spurs. So that leaves Eriksen (not Erikson) and Martinez… Eriksen is a possibility but Martinez is said to be staying at Porto. So if Spurs need 6 players to replace Bale, who now?

      • I could see coentrao happening if we clear some deadwood to free up wages (adebayor for a start)
        Eriksen is a likely signing
Lamela is another potentially good signing thst would be possible with roma not even in europa league this year
Would like to see martinez but porto want 30 million plus which is unlikely due to how much we spent on soldado, not that I’m complaining. can see us signing either a young striker or a second rate striker…someome of ba/remys quality

  4. The sooner spurs get Bale out the better , He will neaver
go down as one of our legends,. Good two seasons but
now lets get behind Soldado and Paulino & Chadli and the
boys at white hart lane and anyone else who comes
I think spurs are going to do good this season 2nd or 3rd
place looks good. Come on V.B. show Bale & Real we can
do it ( that would be brilliant ) COME ON YOU SPURS.
