There were doubts over Andros Townsend’s participation in tonight’s crucial world cup qualifier with Poland but the 22 year old takes his place in Roy Hodgson’s starting XI. The winger picked up a knock during his Man of the Match display against Montenegro on Friday but has recovered sufficiently to be included once again.
The full line up reads
Hart, Smalling, Jagielka, Cahill, Baines, Carrick, Gerrard, Townsend, Rooney, Welbeck, Sturridge
Kyle Walker is suspended for this clash so won’t be joining his Spurs colleague while Jermain Defoe was always unlikely to be involved from the first whistle. Will Andros have the same impact as he did when winning his first cap?
