The club have confirmed little so far but there were suggestions in the press yesterday that both Etienne Capoue and Younes Kaboul are nearing full fitness and could even be in contention for a return to the side in tonight’s Capital One Cup game with Hull City.

Capoue enjoyed an impressive start to his Tottenham career until picking up an injury in the North London derby while Younes continues to be plagued by problems after such a lengthy absence from the side.

Talksport claim that both of our French internationals are pressing for a starting slot this evening with a view to making the first team for Sunday’s tricky clash away to Everton. Both have resumed training but will they be risked?

AVB would surely welcome Kaboul back into the line up to give one of the centre backs a break and this might be a sound suggestion. The report is a fairly isolated one however and while it may prove to be too soon for either man to be involved, Villas-Boas will be relieved at their respective returns to full training ahead of a busy fixture schedule.

  1. We need both Kaboul and Capoue for the hard away game against Everton. They are rested you only need to look at the weight loss of there players to no they will run a lot. Just look at Coleman Osman Pienaar Howard Bains all show they put a good shift in with gaunt thin faces Martinez also had Wigan playing 6th gear. This is why there is no easy games Supplements once banned are now allowed meaning to play twice is very hard. I would play some of the kids and play Kaboul Capoue half a game

  2. Davspurs still going on about supplements. You still have to train hard, the supplements just feed the muscles and replace lost nutrients, its not like they are using steroids.
