FC Sheriff may have looked second best for most of their home tie with Spurs in the Europa League but they did threaten on the counter and will be hopeful of causing an upset at White Hart Lane on Thursday. As disappointing as that result would have been for tomorrow night’s opponents, Sheriff still retain a chance of finishing second in the group and may park the bus in the quest to gain a point at White Hart Lane.

Since that defeat, Veaceslav Rusnac’s side have continued to dominate their domestic league and are currently 13 points clear at the top after just 14 matches. Their last two games have seen a 3-0 win over Veris before a narrow 3-2 away victory at the mighty Rapid Ghidighici.

Henrique Luvannor continues to impress, scoring three of those six goals to take his tally to 14 from just ten league matches. Despite that, Spurs are still red hot favourites for the win at 1/7 with Bet365.

Even if you think a home win is a certainty it’s hardly worth bothering at that price but are you tempted by Sheriff at 30/1 or even the draw at 17/2 with BetVictor? Could Spurs recent issues in front of goal translate into European competition?
