Finally, another long international break draws to a close and Spurs, their fans and their supporters can concentrate once again on the league and the campaign to finish in the top four places. For the third time running, Tottenham entered the international period on the back of a disappointing defeat but this time it will be harder than ever to recover with three points.

Manchester City may have had their problems this season but while Manuel Pellegrini’s side have lost four out of six games on the road, their home record in the league is 100% with five wins from five.

Despite that, the players remain positive and Sandro is one who is targeting victory from the Etihad this Sunday.

“We will need everything on the pitch because it’s a hard game to win there, but we have to do it,” said the Brazilian.

“From the start of the game we have to push on, to fight for every ball, to be on top of City.

“A win would be great for us. Every match is important. Let’s go to try to win this match first. We can do it. We can win there.”

Spurs last won at City during the 2009-10 season when Peter Crouch’s goal took us to the Champions League. Results since then have been tight but what do we need to do to repeat that victory on Sunday?

  2. Man city away is a tough one. A clean sheet there would be grea and we may also get some good couter attacking chances but we have to be clinical. City should dictate the play but will get chances. COYS
