With Erik Lamela dominating the headlines in a slow news week, it was only a matter of time before speculation began as to who could be offered to Spurs in return for the Argentine’s services. One name that has appeared many times in connection with a move to White Hart Lane is that of Mirko Vucinic and with Juve said to be hovering around our record signing, Montenegrin striker Vucinic has been mentioned once again.
The player is 30 now and therefore has considerably more experience than Lamela but his goals to games record isn’t one to get particularly excited about. He averages around one in three at best and while at Juve has managed 21 goals in 71 league games – a similar record to Lamela’s 19 in 62 at Roma.
But which would you prefer – Vucinic’s experience or Lamela’s undoubted, yet unfulfilled promise?
Lamela every day of the week, stupid question actually, ask that to yourself out loud and you’ll realise how stupid that question is
