A number of players are returning to training as Spurs’ once lengthy injury list starts to reduce and the latest to make a comeback is Andros Townsend. It’s been a breakthrough season for the winger with a regular place in the Spurs side under AVB and a first international call up but he hasn’t been involved since Tim Sherwood’s first game in charge, back in December.
There’s no comment from the club and no hint as to when Townsend will be available for selection, although this Sunday’s home game with Everton may just come too soon. However, when he is 100%, it will be interesting to see whether Sherwood uses him in the first possible starting XI.
Unlike Villas-Boas, Sherwood doesn’t make too many changes to the line up and with Lennon and Eriksen currently operating on the flanks, will Andros Townsend walk straight back into the team?
Sherwood doesn’t even know how to make subs within the 90 minutes, having Townsend back is massive to us but what use will he be under Tim’s instructions.
