Nabil Bentaleb may have prospered in the absence of Sandro but with the beast set to return from injury, there will be serious competition for places in the centre of midfield. It will be interesting to see which way Tim Sherwood will go as he is clearly such a big fan of the young Frenchman but for now, Sandro is ready for the next step in his rehabilitation.

The Brazilian is set to feature for the Under 21s as they tackle Bolton today (Monday) and he will line up alongside Danny Rose who missed last week’s win at Newcastle.

Sandro hasn’t appeared for Tim Sherwood – he picked up his latest injury in AVB’s last game at home to Liverpool – but his return will leave a real selection dilemma for the head coach. Who will he choose when his centre midfielders are all fully fit?

  1. I wonder if playing at least a bit-part role against Dnipro in the 1st leg is a step too far too fast? Certainly he should be available for the 2nd leg. I expect we’ll play a mix of youngsters and players in need of games (Soldado, Chadli, Sigurdsson etc) and rest key squad members like Vertonghen, Adebayor, Dembele for these 2 EL games.

  2. Great news! I reckon play Bentaleb in EL and bring Sandro back for Norwich.
