Team news is in and Tim Sherwood has followed AVB’s practise of leaving several players at home ahead of an important weekend fixture. Younes Kaboul, Emmanuel Adebayor, Aaron Lennon, Hugo Lloris and Kyle Walker all stay in London with the coach making an unconvincing comment in regard to their absence.

They all have niggles,” said Tim “They will miss this game but we hope they will be ready on Sunday. It’s an opportunity for the other lads.”

But who are the other lads ready to step in? Sandro, Vlad Chiriches and Erik Lamela all remain sidelined so don’t be surprised to see players such as Harry Kane having a role to play this evening.

Meanwhile, Brad Friedel should take over in goal with Michael Dawson returning to the side. Etienne Capoue should slot into midfield with Roberto Soldado likely to play a lone role up front.

With those players missing, this is a real guess but what’s your opinion?

    • I agree with this team.
If I’m starting Siggy, then it’s in place of Eriksen
Really hope Bobby can grab a couple tonight, his confidence needs it

  1. Same back 4 but Djembele, Benteleb and Capoue in the middle. Chadli and Eriksen, left and right and Sol up front. Think Siggy has a niggle.

  2. Bill and March,

The article you are commenting on gives you the news that Demebele has not travelled, so not much point predicting him to be in the team.

I think BS is spot on with the team. Townsend, Chadli, Soldado as the front 3.

  3. My team

    Friedel

    Naughton Dawson Vert Fryers

    Capoue

    Townsend Paulinho Eriksen Chadli

    Soldado

If we play Lennon that means no crosses in turn means no service to the box from that side.

  4. Brad
    Kyle N. – Daws – Jan – Zeki
    Holding Midfielder: Etienne
    Andros – Paulinho – Nabil – Gylfi
    Lone Striker: Roberto

Aaron, Mousa, Hugo, Kyle W., Ade and Younes didn’t even travel to Dnipropetrowsk.

  5. Agree with BS’s team. Let’s hope Chadli has some confidence after his excellent cameo appearance against Newcastle. He and Soldado both came with impressive reputations but have struggled, this game could give them the opportunity they need.
