Naturally there is still nothing resembling concrete news on the Tim Sherwood story but rumours today suggest that the appointment of Louis Van Gaal is imminent. Meanwhile, Tim is set to be offered his old job as Technical Co-ordinator but would he and should he accept?
Sherwood is likely to see his immediate future in management and there could be at least one opportunity opening up in the top flight with West Brom and Norwich both linked. It could be a shrewd solution for a man who may have a future at this level, assuming that the Spurs job has simply come too soon.
As Technical Director, Sherwood has brought through many fine youngsters and taken them to the verge of the first team and as honourable as that may be, is that enough to tempt him back? Of course, some cynics might say that any job offer may just be done in an attempt to reduce his compensation bill…
stay and learn off the master
Yes if it pans out he is loosing the manager,s job I would love to see him staying on in some capacity. He is spurs through and through despite some spurs fans rubbishing him because he supposedly supported the Arse as a boy .So what if he did.its hardly a hanging offence
He should be as he has done good work with the u21’s and would be ideal with the new boss in integrating these players into the 1st team.
Unfortunately his ‘I’m not anyone’s No2’ comments may mean he fucked that particular chance and I think he’ll be too proud to backtrack
I would love to keep Sherwood in the club but don’t think he will stay if we get a new manager in. Unfortunately. I really like the guy and I think he has done well considering the circumstances. Clubs like spurs don’t have the time anymore and react too quickly sometimes. That’s football I guess. I just wouldn’t be too surprised if in 5 years we might be regretting this decision. I hope we do anyway as i want to see more British managers given chances with top teams
i hope TS can look at the bigger picture… VDG is 62 so hardly a long term prospect, however should TS stay, he would learn from a top coach who’s been there & done it.
bite the bullet Tim & eat a bit of humble pie’cos two or three years down the line you could be slipping into a top job at spurs as a far more polished article.
No. Sherwood has to go. For himself as much as anything else. Once you’ve been the top guy you can’t go back.
He should go to a smaller club to learn and to prove himself. If he stayed at Spurs he’d just end up undermining the new manager.
Piss off tim nice but dim…
