Former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp has never been averse to returning to his old club for personnel and now that his current QPR side are back in the Premiership, a number of Tottenham’s playing squad could be targeted.

Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Tom Carroll were on loan at Loftus Road this season but while both contributed to a successful campaign, neither were deemed outstanding by the fans or the manager.

Speaking about BAE, Redknapp said.

“He’s been up and down. I don’t think he’s found the level he had at Tottenham. I was watching a bit of the 2010 season on Sky, it just happened to come on.

“It was Benoit playing for Tottenham, going down the left and crossing balls – he crossed one and funny enough Niko scored. For me he was in the best three left-backs in the Premier League when he was at Tottenham.”

Meanwhile, Carroll has come in for criticism on Twitter and on fans forums but you wouldn’t rule out Harry coming in for either man over the summer.

However, the one name doing the rounds this morning is that of Harry Kane. Having scored three times in his first three Premiership starts, Spurs will want to keep hold of the England Under 21 international but could the striker be persuaded to make the switch to West London with the promise of regular game time?

  2. Let’s put it into perspective, we at the lane hope Harry does very well and it will show Daniel Levy what a Twat for taking every far to seriously and sacking him, the man you use more muscles in his face and smile now and then, as he didn’t look at the stats in any way

    • I agree Harry was our best manager, we have lost out on rodgers and martinez. We need someone in position and quickly to hold our squad together. Its decent and certainly achieve top six with what we have, but a new left back and left winger and i reckon build team around lloris, verts, sandro, eriksen and lamela and we can provide fast paced quality football im sure. COYS

      • Pochettino i think is more proven in spanish and english premiership as opposed to de boer who i feel is a good candidate but in a mickey mouse league like the scottish division!!!! Whoever comes in needs backing and time……. coys
