Positive twist in Sandro saga?

Positive twist in Sandro saga?

In the unlikely event of Tim Sherwood staying at White Hart Lane, it would have been almost certain that our Brazilian midfielder Sandro would be on his way out of the club. The two men had very public differences that would have only been resolved by a transfer away from the Lane.

Even when Sherwood was replaced, rumours of a move to Serie A continued with the player’s agent doing little to reassure fans who wanted Sandro to stay.

“We know that many clubs are following Sandro,” said Luiz Paulo Chignall.

“He would like to play in Serie A, it is a very important championship but now we have to wait to know if he can leave Tottenham or not.”

If recent reports are to be believed, we may have the first signs that Spurs are determined to hold on to their man. Napoli have supposedly tabled a bid of £10m while Tottenham have countered by placing a £20m price tag on the player’s head.

Some see that as a starting point for future negotiations or it could simply be done as a ‘hands off’ warning. Time will tell but clearly £10m is nowhere near enough for our Chairman.
