Southampton defensive midfielder Morgan Schneirdelin was at the centre of social media interest last night after apparently declaring his dissatisfaction with current club Southampton. Earlier in the day, it was reported that the Frenchman was on his way to White Hart Lane, along with Saints striker Jay Rodriguez and it was even claimed in some areas that terms had been agreed.

‘6 years of an amazing journey #saintsfc DESTROYED in 1 hour !!!’ read the player’s tweet that followed Southampton’s official stance on the issue.

Specifically to Rodriguez and Schneiderlin, they will not be going anywhere. We see them as part of a core and the core we’ve got right now and in place is a core that is where Ronald would like to go and they a part of that core. Any reports that Rodriguez or Schneiderlin are leaving or we are in engaged in transfer conversations are totally off the mark. They will not be sold,” said Saints chairman Ralph Krueger.

Today, most stories state that Schneiderlin has submitted a transfer request but Talksport are the lone, dissenting voice suggesting that he is happy to stay at the club. Last night’s Twitter outburst doesn’t seem to back that up however so expect more developments in the next few days.

  1. naughton, dawson, chiriches, capoue, sandro, lennon, chadli, adabayer out miquel lopez and jack rodwell on loan stones, joel veltmman, schenderlin, draxler, reus or depay, jay rodriguaz or bony in

    • What the hell you on? Random fantasy football teams that are never gonna happen. I think their is truth in the schneid articles although it will take a while for any transfer to go through now with the media surrounding it. Levys the man to pull this deal off, thats his talent. Rodriguez I beleive we will leave alone due to injury and he only has a year on his contract left. We can sign him for free next season. Coys

Forget Morgan here is the signing of the season … get him levy get him now … He plays the Tottenham way ….. Green Green Green .. I hear it already 8 mil is a steal

  3. i always find the comments at the beggining of the transfer saga with pooch has been given a 50mil transfer chest which is not going to happen unless we unload the hearafters i if they wont leave there lies mr levys dilemma many far wealthier clubs can just splash the cash without the problems of having the clearout i hope my pessimism is wrong this could be a very dissapointing start to the season hope not come on you spurs
