The Hugo Lloris transfer story has continued to bubble on this week, with claims that he has a buy out clause of £14m if the club did not qualify for the Champions League.
This naturally got Arsenal fans excited of the prospect of stealing a player who is possibly the best goalkeeper Spurs have had since Pat Jennings left for Highbury. Fortunately, the claims have today been denied, with Sky reporter Lyall Thomas weighing in on the issue.
For anyone concerned, Hugo Lloris does not have a release clause of any kind in his contract. #Tottenham will resist his sale too #THFC

Of course, just because Lloris isn’t going anywhere on the cheap, doesn’t mean that he’s not going anywhere. Nevertheless, given the length of the French captain’s contract, any sale will be made on Tottenham’s terms.
