The signing of Kieran Trippier for a bargain £3.5m has been confirmed today and one of the big questions that his arrival prompts, is what the future will hold for Kyle Walker.
Will Trippier push Walker to higher levels, or replace him in the team? Or will Walker simply remain injured as he was for most of last season? We asked the good folk of Twitter for their verdict.
Good to hear we have signed Kieran Trippier, big upgrade on Walker, then again Stephen Hawking would be tbf

Satisfied with Walker + Trippier & hopefully we loan Yedlin to a Premier League club.

Trippier good siging for Spurs. Loan out Yedlin or flog Walker? (I'd definitely do the latter) http://t.co/Xd3wARiuy9

Obviously want Trippier to do well but really hope his signing pushes Walker to the next level, like Davies did Rose

Trippier is a top signing, either he pushes Walker to improve or comes straight into the first team

hutton, walker, naughton, yedlin, trippier. #spurs do love a promising right-back. Never thought Chimbonda would be so hard to replace

Rumour that staff at #THFC training ground have learnt Walker's hip injury is long-term concern. Explains two back-ups in Trippier & Yedlin.

Trippier good signing, but why didn’t we go for Richards as well,he can play centre or full back.I think Walker’s days are numbered unless he wants to be backup for Trippier.I also think we could have got M’Bia for very little money.Cabaye would be a good addition also with PL experience.Mason and Benteleb would be good support.
Put Yedlin on wing and help out right back Trippier if need be. He’s fast and crosses well too!
Put yedlin on wing
