When Tottenham sell a player they tend to wait till the deal is firmly done and dusted before they make an official announcement.
So it’s seems unlikely that they would have been too happy with the actions of Erik Lamela this morning, with the Argentinean attacker sending out a Tweet that all but confirmed the exit of Roberto Soldado.
In a post that Lamela quickly deleted from his Twitter account Lamela wished Soldado the best at his new club.
The Tweet followed social media posts by Spurs fans who saw posed for pictures with Soldado at Gatwick airport this morning, with the Spanish striker confirming that he was flying out to sign for Villarreal. Looks like this one will be done and dusted soon, which will hopefully lead to the purchase of a new forward.
