Mauricio Pochettino has made two changes for Tottenham’s clash with Everton at White Hart Lane. Danny Rose is fully fit and replaces Ben Davies at left back. In midfield, Nabil Bentaleb comes in for Erik Lamela.
Bentaleb’s return means Ryan Mason will be pushed up into the No. 10 position to support Harry Kane up front. Christian Eriksen is still absent with a knee injury.
Alex Pritchard could makes his first appearance off the bench, while Dele Alli is also named among the substitutes. Here’s how Twitter reacted to all the team news…
Really surprised Alli's on the bench again though. Shame. Dembele gotta deliver today

At last our 1st choice back 4 good to see Rose back & Prichard on the bench. Solid rather than creative team #COYS

No Davies or Lamela ????????????????????????????

You know those girls who buy loads of expensive new shoes and then just bung them in the cupboard. Spurs are like that with players.

Disappointed Alli isn't starting. He's been brilliant when he's played – often our only bright spark.

Poch seems to do this consistently. Pick 10 Outfield players, a goal keeper & 7 Subs. Needs to sort himself out. #TeamSheetMeltdown #COYS

Mason at 10 is interesting. He'll be far more suited to that position and might actually look as good as Twitter thinks he is.

3 points today please. Don't know why the new signings aren't even on the bench? Stick them in!! #COYS

Delighted to Rose in the team. Mason at no.10 is not a risk considering the options available.

Why isn't Alli playing?! At least Lamela isn't, hopefully won't see him again to be honest. Mason better than Dembele at 10, looks forward

Lamela also relegated to the bench. I reckon he'll be gone before the window closes. Either Milan side looks likely.

Danny Rose is back! #COYS

Nobody will ever understand my excitement for Danny Rose being back. Pritchard on the bench and Mason #10. Interesting, optimistic!

Why is Lamela on the bench? He’s taking up a space for someone useful.
