The good news is that it’s extremely unlikely that we’ll be seeing Michel Vorm and Federico Fazio start this one, unless that is Mauricio Pochettino has backed himself to be given the sack before Brendan Rodgers this season.

So Hugo Lloris should return in goal, with Kyle Walker, Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen returning to the back four. The left-back position is the one dilemma in defence. We’d go with Danny Rose after his purposeful performance against Arsenal.

In midfield injuries dictate that Eric Dier and Dele Alli should start. The only other fit option is Tom Carroll and no one wants to see him up against Yaya Toure.

Ahead of them Heung Min-Son will return, while Erik Lamela’s performance against Crystal Palace should see him given another opportunity. The remaining place is between Christian Eriksen and Nacer Chadli. We’d go for the Dane considering that Chadli has been poor of late. Harry Kane will start up front.

  1. Man City have scored goals at will against us in recent years. Given that we need players we can rely on defensively to do their job. That leaves Rose out of the equation. Rose is better going forward than Davies but Davies is far better at defending. The rest of the team I think you have pretty much right. COYS
