Against all the laws of the universe, Spurs turned this game on its head early in the second half. Kevin De Bruyne had given Manchester City the lead early on before Eric Dier levelled things up just before the break.
Shortly after half-time, Toby Alderweireld headed in an Erik Lamela free-kick to give Tottenham the lead. It was nothing more than the hosts deserved. I write this with half an hour of the game to go, so let’s just imagine we held on to the lead.
