It didn’t take long for the breakthrough at White Hart Lane. Mousa Dembele opened the scoring for Tottenham against a fragile Aston Villa side.
Danny Rose lofted a pass down the left wing, which Dembele latched on to. The Belgian controlled the ball, outfought a Villa defender and finished low with his left foot through Brad Guzan’s legs.
