Tottenham make three changes from the side that beat Aston Villa 3-1 in the Premier League on Monday night.
Ben Davies and Kieran Trippier come in for Danny Rose and Kyle Walker in the full back positions, while Ryan Mason replaces Mousa Dembele in attacking midfield. Heung-Min Son is among the substitutes.
The team selection sees a continuation of Mauricio Pochettino’s positive attitude towards the Europa League this season. The Spurs manager clearly sees the competition as a priority on par with the Premier League.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the team news.
Wow, a very strong line up. Only 3 changes from the Villa game, got to hope for no injuries. Fitness key for 3 games in 6 days.

Would imagine Son to feature tonight at some point with a view to him starting in the NLD on Sunday, no injuries tonight please Spurs! #THFC

Find the consistent exclusion of Kevin Wimmer rather baffling considering he has had little to no game time to impress. #COYS

Wow. That is a strong Spurs side three days before #AFCvTHFC Thought Alli needed a rest personally.

@tottenhamblog amazes me how he can play Fazio and Wimmer against Arsenal but always Jan and Toby against average teams in Europa

#coys Says an awful lot about Dembele's importance that he's rested tonight ahead of Eriksen and Lamela. What a turnaround.
