It was a day for the home-grown players at White Hart Lane. A brace from Harry Kane and a late Tom Carroll strike resulted in a 3-0 win for Tottenham against lowly Norwich.
Kane opened the scoring from the spot before adding a second with a fine low effort before the break. The striker has now scored 12 goals in his last 11 Spurs appearances.
Tom Carroll replaced Christian Eriksen in the second half and smashed home his first league goal for Tottenham with 10 minutes remaining.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the result and performance.

Job done. Not spectacular but very solid and efficient performance. 2 for Kane, Hugo clean sheet and now to recuperate pre-Watford.

Say whatever you want about Lamela, but his work-rate is unquestionable, for that alone he deserves his place in the XI every week.

Norwich started well but thought Lamela's pressing after 15 minutes encouraged the others out of their post xmas slumber.

Joint-top goal difference in the league (+17, with Arsenal & City). This is weird.
