Tottenham cruised to victory in their fourth round FA Cup tie at Colchester, thrashing the League One strugglers 4-1.
The result marks the first time Spurs have won four successive matches this season. The visitors had Nacer Chadli to thank; the Belgian scored once in each half and was arguably Tottenham’s best performer on the day. Eric Dier and Tom Carroll were also on the scoresheet, while a Ben Davies own goal was merely a consolation for Colchester.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the performance and result.
Tottenham have now scored 4+ goals in 6 matches in all competitions this season. Mauricio looks pretty happy. pic.twitter.com/JLrdmQ4oph

Not saying we shouldn't sign a striker, but I think Chadli can do a fine job up top. Been unlucky with the injury this season.

What a lovely walk in the park, we can put 2 sides out and things just look great, Poch is building a fantastic squad, #Dreaming

Many unhappy when Chadli said he can play as a striker but he's done the job well when called upon. Two footed, good finisher & in the air!

Chadli man of the match, had we took half the chances Kerian Trippier created he would be by a mile.

Chadli my man of the match. Two goals and assist. Dangerous throughout

Lucky deflection for that 2nd goal, another bit of luck going our way in the FA Cup this season, hopefully a good omen! #COYS#THFC

10 – Tottenham are unbeaten in their last 10 away games in all competitions, their longest such run since August 1985. Spurred.

Great to see Chadli back to his very best. Shame the same can't be said of Bentaleb but he also hasn't been as bad as I've seen suggested.

Tom Carroll always looks so much better in the number ten position, when has less responsibility and can play that final pass. #COYS

Ben Davies has scored more goals for Colchester this season than Hazard has scored for Chelsea.

All Nacer Chadli does is score goals and assist goals and some wing play and provide an attacking outlet and a good squad option

Those saying Chadli can't play CF are same ones who said Dier couldn't play DM. You must understand Poch is a world class manager & COACH
