The French newspaper L’Equipe have claimed that Spurs are in advanced talks with Marseille to sign their striker Michy Batshuayi.
Batshuayi has scored 15 goals this season after being linked with a move to Tottenham last summer. Still only 22, the Belgian international now has a total of 25 goals in 61 appearances for Marseille, having hit 44 in 120 at his first club Standard Liege.
With two goals in as many caps for Belgium, the pacy forward has attracted the attention of Arsenal and Chelsea, but it looks as if Spurs have stolen a march on their rivals and are trying to tie up a deal early.
Batshuayi will not come cheap at a reported price of £25m, but Tottenham fans won’t care if they finally end their search for another striker to complement Harry Kane. Watch him in action below.
