After a series of cup games it’s back to the Premier League today, for the first of three games in the space of a week.

With such a packed schedule it’s likely that Mauricio Pochettino will make some changes from the side that beat Fiorentina in midweek. Hugo Lloris, Toby Alderweireld and Kevin Wimmer should all start again, but the full-backs will be rotated, with Kyle Walker and Danny Rose returning to the team.

In midfield we’d start with Eric Dier and Ryan Mason again, with the latter surely having plenty left in the tank after an injury-hit season. Further forward, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli keep their places, alongside the returning Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane.

Here’s our Spurs team to face Swansea. What’s yours?

  1. With a few injuries to contend with i would agree with team you have approved of except for one change i would love to see given a chance and that is keep Davies at left full back and Danny Rose on the left wing .

  2. Walker is the only ‘weak-link’ in the side. He should be sold, he rarely place the safe pass, always tries to be flash, and very often when he gets fwd his crosses are poor !

    • Some supporters are never happy, unless they can dig out a player. God knows what you’ve been watching the entire squad has been excellent and everyone is playing their part. COYS

  3. The problem is these teams always come to the lane, put 10 men behind the ball and park their bus in the park, then try to break us in a counter attack. I hope that I am wrong if I have a feeling that our players will start to get nervy if they can’t score in the first half. Poch needs to come out with a tactical plot to break open these teams. We need to hold on to possession as long as we could and dictate play in the middle of the park. We must not allow the Swansea players to control possession and play to the tempo of their game. Since Dembele is out of today’s game, our players need to play out one or two touch quick compact football towards goal in order to break open their defense. It’s just liked how we played against Florentina on Thursday but playing a domestic game is totally different from playing an European game and more ever said is easier than done. COYS, show us fans you can do it by beating Swansea convincingly. We need to keep up with Leicester City in the league table and can’t afford to lose pace right now. Come on you mighty Spurs, FIGHT for every ball and every game from now onwards, show us your ‘FIGHTING SPIRIT’ and your ‘NEVER GIVE UP/NEVER SAY DIE ATTITUDE’, so you will get rewarded come end of the season.

  4. Other than change the full backs, why not play the same team we played against Fiorentina, those players are good enough to beat Swansea, everyone looked fit enough after the game to go again. As proven with the team mid week performance we dont need to rely on Kane for the goals. COYS

  5. I’ve been watching all the games, since 1965. My comment about Walker was purely an observation, all I meant was I would prefer that he wasn’t playing. The squad have been brilliant, everyone knows that, and I believe we can go on & win the title, Coys !

  6. So now what? Why are we always playing the chasing game? We have now fallen behind and what can the players do to overcome this 0-1 deficit? What can Poch do? We are we always crumble over the last hurdle? We should be winning this type of game instead we shot ourselves in the foot. I don’t see us equalizing with their goalie in superb form. Someone got to step up and read their goalie’s position and be smart enough to put the ball beyond him and into the net. I think we are doomed again.
