Philippe Countinho’s well worked opener did little to halt Tottenham’s drive for a goal at Anfield. Both sides looked sloppy after the break, but Coutinho’s moment of magic displayed the quality on show.
It was fitting, then, that Harry Kane showed what he has in his locker moments later with a wonderful equaliser. Kane controlled a pass from Christian Eriksen beautifully before smashing the ball across Simon Mignolet and into the far bottom corner.
