Tottenham exploded into life with twenty minutes to go against Manchester United, scoring three quick goals and moving back within seven points of leaders Leicester City.
The hosts were just about the better team until the deadlock was broken. From then on Mauricio Pochettino’s side were emphatic, bagging three goals in six minutes.
Dele Alli opened the scoring before Toby Alderweireld’s quick fire second. Erik Lamela netted Spurs’ third to ensure a first league win against United at home in fifteen years.
Here’s how Twitter reacted the result and performance.
"Lads, it's United".
Amazing half time team talk from Pochettino.— Simply Spurs (@Simply_Spurs) April 10, 2016
Tottenham are a seriously good side and if they keep hold of their stars and manager they will enjoy years of success.

When the pressure was on Pochettino's men most they delivered and in style, whilst it's mathematically possible, there is still hope.#THFC

Took 25 minutes to get going, but a really good showing by Spurs once more. Lloris' save for Martial felt like a turning point.

Excellent win! Not a great start but that second half was immense, a reflection of our season as a whole. Solid and clinical. 7 points…

Sensational. What a marvellous time to be a Spurs fan. #COYS

In all seriousness, how the fuck are we going to end up not winning this league, despite clearly being the best team in it?

What a perfect performance and with excellent-on-the-eye football. Not top of the table but the best to watch by a mile #COYS

There's winning. And there's winning in style. #Coys

We actually scored three goals and kept a clean sheet against Manchester United in a professional football match. What a time to be alive.

Eriksen my MOM. At the heart of everything good we do. Performed for the entire match not just a 10 minute spell ??

Just the +35 Goal Diff for Spurs. What kind of crazy parallel universe are we living in?

Eriksen superb again today. I can't understand how people can even begin to criticise him this season. I much watch something else

Erisken was our best midfielder today, the unnoticed hero. Stop judging him on goals and assists and you'll realise how class he is
— Shaun (@ShaunBiggs1) April 10, 2016
Lamela made 9 tackles today – Walker next highest for us with 4. Amazing that a player can be so productive in two different ways. #COYS

I am a lifelong Spurs fan although living in Canada now. What a great day. I have watched videos of the goals at least 20 times, it must have been wonderful to be there. One of the real pleasures is now reading the Utd fans comments after the last week where all I saw were statements from their players how they were going to walk all over us. Gary Lineker has it correct. If we can hold on to the players and the manager the future is ours.
Hi David are you the david who used to live in west hampstead if yes please call me Steve Gerskin.
