Spurs have been linked with a summer move for the Spanish striker Borja Gonzalez.
Borja is contracted to Atletico Madrid but is currently out on loan at Elche, where he has scored 18 goals in 36 games this season.
It’s the latest of a series of loan moves made by the 23-year old, who impressed with 22 Segunda Division goals with Zaragoza last year.
Everton and Valencia are also said to be interested in the 6ft 3″ striker, but the lure of Champions League football could be the deciding factor in tempting him to White Hart Lane.
The real issue is whether Atletico decide to give a chance to a player that they have nurtured through their youth system. With the club facing a transfer ban in the future, they may wish to hold onto the talented forward.
