Spurs currently have a number of players out on loan this season but one that might have flown under your radar is Grant Ward.
The midfielder has become an important player at Rotherham, as the Millers have successfully managed to avoid relegation. Ward has played 42 games in all competitions and his impressive form has seen him named as both Rotherham’s young player of the year and as the recipient of the club’s goal of the season award.
Employed as a central midfielder and on the right this season, it will be interesting to see where Ward goes next, having previously spent time on loan at the MLS outfit Chicago Fire and Coventry City.
It might be too much to expect Ward to claim a spot in a Tottenham squad packed with midfield talent, so the natural progression might be another loan move to a better Championship side or to lower-half Premier League club.
His award winning goal against Burnley certainly help his chances of catching the eye of interested parties. Watch Ward’s brilliant strike below.
