The Mirror have reported that Swansea are planning a move for Nacer Chadli.
They claim that Spurs value Chadli at £15m, which if met would give the club a considerable profit on a player bought for £7m in 2013.
After a disappointing debut campaign, Chadli became an important part of Mauricio Pochettino’s team in 2014-15, but struggled to find starts last season. With Georges-Kevin Nkoudou set the join, the competition for wide positions has further intensified and Chadli’s best hope of playing regularly could be to move on.
The Belgian international missed out on a place at Euro 2016 due to his lack of playing time, so a move could be needed to reignite his hope of making the World Cup squad in 2018. Swansea have yet to spend big this summer, so Tottenham’s asking price would not be beyond them.
With Clinton Njie set to join Marseille on loan, it looks like the exodus of unwanted players is beginning and Chadli could well be the man who brings in the biggest fee.
