Having disappointed with their first-half performance against Juventus on Tuesday, Spurs have been much brighter in the opening minutes against Atletico Madrid.

The young side have dominated possession and have had the chances to take the lead in today’s friendly, with Josh Onomah and Erik Lamela both hitting the woodwork.

Yet as is so often the way with Atletico, they scored against the run of play with a Diego Godin effort from a corner. The chance only arose for the Uruguayan after a free-kick deflected off the head of Anton Walkes – who’d had a good game up till then – and hit the post for Godin to poke home.

Watch the goal below that put Atletico 1-0 up against Tottenham.

  1. I love the glimpses into pe3lpe&#o9;s houses (from the road or sidewalk). I thinks its actually less creepy than going to open houses to lookie-loo. I purposely don't have many window coverings so I can "show off" my awesome decor finds.
